The Micro Bevel® is an elegant comfort feature designed to eliminate arm fatigue and provide a more comfortable playing experience.  

The Micro Bevel® was specifically designed to not encumber the sonic vibrations of the soundboard.  Other armrests offered are oversized and create a ridged, fixed connection between the guitar soundboard and the sides.  As this is the most sonically active portion of the soundboard, often the sonic properties of the guitar are "stiffened up" by the implementation of these excessively large armrests.  The compact clean lines of the Micro Bevel® make the others look out-of-place and copious.  Bigger is definitely not better!
